From Grit to Greatness

I ’ve always believed that business should be both people-focused and profitable—and I’ve built my life and career on proving that’s possible.

As a trusted advisor to CEOs and leadership teams, I specialize in helping leaders gain clarity in high-stakes moments. Whether you’re navigating a big decision, scaling your team, or trying to build a culture that actually works—I’m the person you call when you’re ready for strategy that leads to practical action.

But let me take you back a bit…

I didn’t come from a family of entrepreneurs or executives. I grew up with very little—and I mean very little. There were times when we were at the local food bank. That upbringing taught me early on that grit will take you places that privilege can’t.

In 2009, life threw another curveball: I lost my vision—and was later diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. It was terrifying. But it also became one of the most defining moments of my life. I learned how to lead myself first, even in the dark—literally and figuratively. That experience gave me an unshakable belief in resilience, faith, and the power of purpose.

Despite every setback, I went on to build a seven-figure HR consulting firm from the ground up. No investors. No safety net. Just faith, fire, and the belief that helping small businesses and non-profits win in HR is the most sustainable strategy there is. In 2022, I sold that business—and stepped fully into this next chapter of transforming leaders and workplace culture.

Over the last 18+ years, I’ve solved people problems inside Fortune 100 companies, startups, nonprofits, and everything in between. From the corporate boardroom to grassroots strategy sessions, I’ve seen it all—and helped leaders turn chaos into clarity.

Today, I guide high-performing, heart-led leaders through:

  • Executive Development & Leadership Coaching
  • Strategic Action Planning & Capacity Building
  • Workforce Alignment & Culture Transformation

But the work I’m most proud of? It’s the impact beyond the office.

I am the immediate Past Board Chair for Harvest Hope Food Bank, helping fight food insecurity in South Carolina—the very struggle I once knew firsthand. I also serve as a Board of Trustee of Columbia College and on the Board of Automotive Service Assistance, proudly using my expertise to further each worthy mission.

Here’s what I know for sure:
You don’t have to be born into opportunity to build something extraordinary.
You just need clarity, courage, and enough grit to keep showing up.

Let’s get started.
